The Nike Cortez Celebrates 45 Years Strong With Special "Compton" Edition
For the West Side.
Nike plans to stretch the celebration of its Cortez silhouette by adding another special colorway to its upcoming lineup. Joining forces with its respective “LBC” edition, a “Compton” iteration is set to hit shelves sporting a familiar black and white color scheme. Minor changes pay homage to its 45-year anniversary and the city of Compton via a “Compton” hit on its heel tab and the initials “CPT” right under it in old english font. “XLV” can be found on its insole for a final touch.
The Nike Cortez “Compton” will drop on June 1 for $75 USD at select retailers and nike.com.
