Take a Look at Jacquemus' Upcoming "Marseille Je T'aime" Exhibition and Book
Paying tribute to the designer’s hometown.

French brand Jacquemus announced earlier this year that it would be hosting an exhibition in Marseille, the hometown of the brand’s founder and designer, Simon Porte Jacquemus. The exhibition has been curated by Jacquemus and the first images of what to expect have arrived in the form of a book that will be released alongside its opening. Speaking to Dazed about the “Marseille Je T’aime” exhibition, Jacquemus explained the idea behind the exhibition: “I didn’t want to do an exhibition showing my clothes on bodies. The idea was to have different angles and perceptions of my universe: videos, photos and sculpture installations.” The book features images created by photographers, painters and contemporary artists, and there will also be a showing of the Jacquemus 2017 spring/summer collection during the course of the exhibition.
The “Marseille Je T’aime” exhibition is separated into three different but related exhibitions. “Images”, to which the book is an accompaniment, runs from May 13 until July 31 at Marseille’s Museum of European and Mediterranean Civilisations. For more information, head to the Jacquemus site.
