Your 'Madden NFL 18' Cover Athlete Is Tom Brady
His first cover.
A lot of history has been made today as EA Sports unveiled New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady as its Madden 18 cover athlete. Brady, a five-time Super Bowl champion, four-time Super Bowl MVP, 12-time Pro Bowler, two-time NFL MVP, 2005 Sports Illustrated Sportsman of the Year, and Deflategate culprit has never graced the cover of Madden. In addition to nabbing his first cover, Brady joins Rob Gronkowski as the first ever teammates to be featured on back-to-back covers.
Brady had this to say about the cover, “The Madden NFL 18 cover is a great honor for me, especially since I have been playing the game since growing up next to EA headquarters in the Bay Area. I’m not one to believe in curses, so I’m ready to take the challenge head on like always! It doesn’t stand a chance!” You can also check out his Facebook video.
Fans will also be able to pre-order two versions of the game starting today. The standard edition will include the choice of an Elite player from their favorite NFL team to be used in the game’s Ultimate Team mode as well as five Squad Packs at launch. The Greatest of All-Time (G.O.A.T.) addition will have all of those perks in addition to one of five G.O.A.T. player choices for Ultimate Mode and early access three days before launch on August 22.
Madden 18 will be available for Xbox One and PlayStation4 on August 25.
