Brain Dead Records Drops New Collection of Apparel and Limited Edition Tapes
Bedroom synth punk and UFO cult-inspired gear.

Los Angeles-based label Brain Dead, helmed by Ed Davis and Kyle Ng, has set its eyes on fusing fashion and music with the launch of Brain Dead Records. The cross-disciplinary project focuses on artist collaboration collections as well as limited edition tapes and records. The latest collection, titled “PSYCHO PRIMITIVE,” features a robust range streetwear essentials designed in collaboration with artist Will Sweeney, accompanied by a selection of cassette tapes from artists Cherry Stones and Mother and a 7-inch record from SUB DOM — whose music “sounds like bedroom synth punk,” says Kyle Ng. Notable pieces from the apparel collection include the Destroyer Jacket (a club jacket embroidered with art by Will Sweeney) and the UFO cult-inspired Chambray Shirt Jacket.
