Louis Vuitton Is Taking Its 2018 Resort Collection to the Miho Museum
Coming next month.

Nicolas Ghesquière is taking Louis Vuitton‘s 2018 Resort collection to Miho Museum, located near Kyoto, Japan. Scheduled for May 14, the show will follow Ghesquière’s tradition of hosting resort shows all around the world, with the previous four in Monaco, Palm Springs and Rio de Janeiro. The Miho Museum was designed by I. M. Pei in 1997 and was inspired by Shangri-La. It features a stunning metal tunnel and bridge, with limestone tiles lining the walls and floors. “The place inspired me right away,” Ghesquière told Vogue, “After the desert and Palm Springs, the ocean and Rio, I wanted to introduce people to another landscape, to immerse them in a sea of green. With the I. M. Pei’s Miho Museum, we are continuing an architectural voyage that suits the Maison Louis Vuitton to a T. For our 2018 Cruise fashion show we are transported into a tangled web of nature, geographical greatness, and a unique architectural vision.” Stay tuned for live-stream times and more news.
