In a recent interview with Dan Patrick, Golden State Warriors’ Steph Curry briefly opens up about why he left Nike back in 2013. The backstory of the incident was reported back in 2016 stating Steph Curry decided to leave Nike for Under Armour after a botched presentation from the Swoosh.

During the pitch, a Nike official mispronounced his first name as “Steve-In” and even had Kevin Durant’s name on one of their slides. To Curry’s team, this was an indicator that Nike was not well prepared. During the interview on The Dan Patrick Show, Curry finally chimed in on the moment saying he was bothered by it.

Recently the two-time NBA MVP teamed up with Liberty University to donate 20,000 shoes to children in Africa.
