The New Balance 997 "Home Plate" Pack Arrives Before Opening Day
America’s pastime is better enjoyed in fresh kicks.
With Opening Day taking place this weekend, New Balance has decided to drop off a 997 “Home Plate” Pack right in time for the annual baseball festivities. Drawing inspiration from the colors of the grounds of spring training and stadiums across the U.S. and Toronto, the two 997’s feature suede and nubuck uppers in gradient colors. The first pair is a combination of blue and turquoise resembling the cozy summer skies perfect for watching America’s pastime while the second is brown and ocher red, a reminder of the field and bats used to play the sport.
Both pairs are now available at History of New York for $210 USD (blue) and $230 USD (brown) respectively.
