Brooks Heritage, Alumni and Ebbets Field recently united for a collaborative project that commemorates “The Great Mistake.” Serving as the inspiration of the collaboration, the event that created modern-day New York City in 1898 by unifying Brooklyn and Manhattan was called a “mistake” by Brooklynites. “The Great Mistake” Regent features uppers constructed of canvas, leather and suede illustrating the union of the two boroughs. A cream midsole and gum rubber outsole along with debossed Brooks Heritage and Alumni round up the design of the shoe. Additionally, the commemorative shoe is accompanied by an Ebbets Field jacket and hat that share the same design elements found on the sneaker. Retailing at $135 USD, the Brooks Heritage x Alumni “The Great Mistake” Regent will be available exclusively at Alumni locations March 4 along with the accompanying Ebbets Field pieces .
