Blake Griffin Is Auctioning off His Custom Kicks for Charity
Worn during the Clippers vs. Wizards matchup.
LA Clippers superstar Blake Griffin has teamed up with 11-year-old cancer patient Justice Griffith on a specially designed, custom pair of Jordan Super.Fly 5 shoes aptly named “Just 5.” Griffin is set to wear the pair of custom Jordan’s during tonight’s game where the LA Clippers will take on the Washington Wizards at the Staples Center. After that, the game-worn “Just 5” will be auctioned off, with all proceeds going towards CHLA as part of the annual Make March Matter fundraising program. The auction will start from after tonight’s game until Thursday, April 13. The Clippers are also set to match up to $25,000 USD in donations. To bid on Griffin’s one-of-a-kind shoes, head to the Clippers’ website. On the project, Griffin states:
“This is an amazing cause and I’m excited to be involved. I am lucky for the opportunity to get to know Justice and it was a lot of fun to work with him. He knew exactly what he wanted the ‘Just 5’ to look like, and I can’t wait to show it off on the court and help raise money to benefit CHLA patients like Justice who need help.”
In a recent comedy sketch, Blake Griffin sees James Corden as his new life coach.
