See the First Trailer for Sofia Coppola's New Movie 'The Beguiled'
A dark drama from the American Civil War.
Featuring a heavyweight cast including Colin Farrell, Nicole Kidman, Kirsten Dunst and Elle Fanning, a newly released trailer for Sofia Coppola’s new movie The Beguiled teases the director’s first film since 2015’s A Very Murray Christmas. Set during the American Civil War, this period drama is based on Thomas P. Cullinan’s novel A Painted Devil and is a remake of a 1971 film that starred Clint Eastwood. Having already picked up an Oscar for Lost In Translation, Coppola’s latest — a dark portrayal of seduction and betrayal — comes hotly anticipated and is sure to be in the running for next year’s Academy Awards when it hits cinemas on June 23.
