Raun LaRose Takes Cues From Erwin Wurm, '90s Hip-Hop & Skate Culture for 2017 Fall/Winter
“Designed for the alternative.”

Young New York-based designer Raun LaRose took to Soho’s Cadillac House yesterday at New York Fashion Week: Men’s to unveil his latest collection of apparel, emphasizing the “‘new look’ sensibilities of today’s new media era.” Dubbed “To Whom It May Concern,” the upcoming Fall/Winter 2017 release is billed as being “designed for the alternative” and juxtaposes art and mainstream society as LaRose took cues from ’90s hip-hop and skateboarding culture, as well the work of Austrian artist Erwin Wurm. Featuring everything from PVC and speckled tweed to metallic silk, the collection’s highlights include wide-legged track pants and bombers as shapes and styles are exaggerated throughout.
Expect the pieces to arrive at select retailers later this year and, in the meantime, head on over to LaRose’s site to check out some of his past creations.
