'The Simpsons' Predicted the Disney x Fox Deal Almost Twenty Years Ago

The Simpsons writers have been scary accurate predicting real-life scenarios. Not only did they foresee Lady Gaga’s Super Bowl halftime show but they’ve also written an episode where Donald Trump would one day become U.S. president. Now, it turns out that the long-running animated show even called the 20th Century Fox takeover of Disney.
The Simpsons have been on the air for over 27 years, making it more likely that some themes or jokes would come true in real life. This 19-year-old throwaway gag is one of many that are creepily close to real-world events — check out the many ways the show has creeped folks out with its accuracy.
