Nike Honors Ronaldo's Fifth Ballon d'Or Win With "Quinto Triunfo" Boots
Golden boots for the golden boy.
Last night, Cristiano Ronaldo was once again recognized as the best footballer on the planet — collecting his fifth Ballon d’Or to equal Lionel Messi’s record. In honor of this fantastic achievement, Nike presented him with the Mercurial Superfly CR7 ”Quinto Triunfo” boots.
The “Quinto Triunfo” boots, which translates as “Fifth Triumph,” are fittingly swathed in gold and silver. The boot features Swoosh branding on both medial sides with the renowned “CR7” logo positioned on the heel panel. Within the Swoosh itself, and only truly visible when on the run — thanks to the use of new Nike technology — appears the five years in which Ronaldo collected the prestigious award: 2008, 2013, 2014, 2016, and 2017. The lavish upper sits atop a premium gold sole plate. No doubt Ronaldo will sport them as he hits the pitch this weekend and you could too come December 14 when 1,000 individually numbered pairs will be released. Be sure to check out the boots above and stay tuned for further release information.
