This Spacious Seattle Home Brings Countryside Vibes to the City
The space becomes one with nature.
Architecture firm MW Works LLC has remade this Seattle Home, helping bring the feel of the countryside seamlessly into the urban environment. With the client having been previously living on a rural property, on their return to the city they made the choice to bring certain elements with them — creating a space that reduces the size of their home while still making the space feel large.
Looking to create the ideal combination and contrast, the studio chose to focus the new work on around a central courtyard that allowed for floor-to-ceiling glass panels to flood the building with natural light.
Take a look at the space in the gallery above, then check out the last home that caught our eye — one of Joseph Eichler’s famed Mid-Century spaces, which recently received a refresh from the Michael Hennessey architecture firm.
