Skateboard and film company Illegal Civilization has released a new short narrative film in collaboration with The FADER. Titled Summer of ‘17, the film captures a group of friends as they skate their way through a typical summer day in North Hollywood and Burbank, California.

The story follows Jeffrey, played by Ryder McLaughlin, as he tries to win over a summer crush. With cameos from Tyler, the Creator and Aminé, Summer of ‘17 is the second film directed by Illegal Civilization founder and Odd Future affiliate Mikey Alfred following his first work released back in 2016.
