Aimé Leon Dore Does More With Less in Winter 2017 Editorial
Turning masculine staples on their head.
Aimé Leon Dore is well regarded for its understated takes on menswear staples like suiting and sweatsuits. Now, the New York-based label debuts a new selection of wintertime looks, emphasizing the goods’ genderless appeal by styling them on model Coco Baudelle.
Focusing on a sweatsuit, felted coat, relaxed suit, bomber jacket and plaid shirt, the array includes a variety of neutral colors made vibrant by hits of color. The red felted wool coat, for instance, complements the Aimé Leon Dore branding on the cropped hoodie, while the plaid shirt elevates the subtle, dark navy bomber jacket and slit hem pants. Elsewhere, a slightly oversized wool suit is worn with clunky New Balance runners, at odds with the strong lapels and otherwise professional look.
