adidas Originals Officially Unveils New Prophere Silhouette
A new chunky-soled sneaker.
Following on from a second collaboration with Daniel Arsham, adidas Originals has now unveiled the latest sneaker to be added to its roster, marking the arrival of the new Prophere silhouette. Taking inspiration from the energy and aesthetics of ’90s footwear, as well as a series of underground creatives, the sneaker fuses oversized design elements with innovative construction methods.
The Prophere’s standout features are the chunky, sculpted midsole and the sneaker’s oversized three-stripe branding that also acts as the sneaker’s lacing system. Other design elements of the shoe include its upper — a one-piece, soft knit construction — which is then finished with a raw-edge leather heel cage.
Take a look at the Prophere above, with the sneaker set to drop via adidas Originals physical locations, web store and select retailers on December 15. As well as officially unveiling the new sneaker, adidas Originals has also continued its long-running relationship with Swedish retailer Sneakersnstuff, as the two release a GORE-TEX pack of Stockholm sneakers.
