Although still relatively new to the Jil Sander design house, creative directors Luke and Lucie Meier set to build upon their initial Spring 2018 offering with a new campaign titled “Interpretation Project 001.” The initiative is built around a series of collaborations the duo will undertake alongside a choice selection of artists and photographers, the first of which features renowned sharpshooter Mario Sorrenti.
With camera in hand, Sorrenti accompanied Luke and Lucie to Mallorca, Spain, where he captured the label’s spring/summer collection. Spotlighting 10 different unisex designs, various portrait-style photos — capturing everything from wildlife, scenic views, and obscure model poses, do well to showcase the brand’s seasonal wares, as well as Sorrenti’s diverse photographic skill set. The collection is scheduled to arrive at DSM London on December 7, followed by Jil Sander’s web shop come December 17.
