Japanese illustrator Yu Nagaba is hosting his first archival exhibition titled “I DID,” at the Gallery X By Parco this coming December. The exhibition will host over 100 pieces of Yu Nagaba’s work made during the period between 2014 and 2017, and will provide viewers the chance to follow the chronological development of the artist’s work through original images, video installations, and other features.

Yu Nagaba rose to fame when his illustrations graced the cover of famous Japanese fashion magazine “POPEYE” back in 2014. Following this breakthrough, Nagaba saw his work featured in numerous magazines and he also collaborated with a selection of clothing brands. Yet this exhibition, that will run from December 2 to December 12 in Tokyo, will be the first time his works are displayed in a major exhibition — offering onlookers a chance to understand how Nagaba’s minimalistic aesthetic evolved. Numerous original goods, such as hoodies and a special-edition book, will also be retailing at the exhibit.
