At the recent Only Watch charity auction, someone became the proud owner of one of Tudor‘s most coveted watches — the Black Bay Bronze. It is now heralded as the most expensive Tudor watch of all time because of its selling price at CHF 350,000 (that’s $351,264.57 USD to be exact). An important thing to note, however, is that the timepiece sold for more than 75 times above its lower estimate of CHF 4,500 ($4516.26 USD).

Oddly enough, in 2015, a Tudor Black Bay One sold for 100 times above the lower estimate. Experts are pointing to the brand’s growing popularity as the main factor for soaring bidding prices. If you’re in the market for watches currently, check out this Bamford timepiece.
