New ‘The Disaster Artist’ Trailer Explores Tommy Wiseau's Director Aspirations

A24 has released a new trailer for The Disaster Artist, a biographical movie starring James Franco as The Room‘s Tommy Wiseau. Directed by Franco, the picture follows the making of Wiseau’s infamous cult film, one that many call “the worst movie ever made.”
In the trailer, the hilarious set-up of the film is given heart, with Franco portraying a man trying to make his dreams as a director come true. And then we get a few terribly wonderful scenes from The Room acted out to hilarious effect. Check out the new The Disaster Artist trailer above and share your thoughts below. The film opens in limited release on December 1 and goes wide on December 8.
