NAME. Spring/Summer 2018 Takes Maximalism to New Heights
Bold colors, big silhouettes.

Japanese imprint NAME. fills its Spring/Summer 2018 collection with bright and colorful layers, blending Japanese whimsy with recognizable staples. The theme this time is “Bricolage,” which defines a creation made up of scraps and bits from disparate, distinct sources.
The collection truly lives up to its name, with inspiration drawn from sources including workwear, military gear and sports. Oversized coats, trousers and jeans balance relaxed hoodies and sweaters, all executed in bold primary hues. Patterns and prints range from boat and plaids to a photograph of a man with the face edited out. In line with the motif of disorganized inspiration, textiles range from rugged denim to sports jerseys crafted from crinkly nylon, with plenty of accessories, including hats, long belts and leather keyring necklaces.
Expect NAME.’s new collection to hit the brand’s webstore within a few months. Elsewhere in Japan, a spate of Supreme blanks have turned up at a Harajuku-based vintage store.
