Journal Standard & New Era Fuse Japanese and MLB Imagery in New Capsule Collection
East meets West.

Japanese retailer Journal Standard and American heritage label New Era rejoin on a selection of baseball-inspired goods. Logos from the New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers are meshed with Japanese symbols and characters on outerwear and hats.
Branding from both teams appear alongside quintessential Japanese imagery. A kabuki character’s silhouette, Kanji and Journal Standard branding — in English and Katakana – are all present alongside American flags. The embroidery and patches appear on a hoodie, stadium jacket and curved-brim hat, each available in two colors — one for each team. The 12.7 oz hoodies and goat leather-sleeved stadium jackets are poised to help fight against the chilly fall weather.
You can buy the limited range from Journal Standard’s webstore — some sizes are already sold out however.
This isn’t New Era’s only brush with Japan: the brand is queueing up a selection of Dragon Ball Z-emblazoned headgear.
