Garrett Leight & Modernica Collaborate on Palm-Themed Chair
Two California brands collide.
Since the company’s inception, Garrett Leight California Optical has represented its home-state well; from luxury eyeglass cases made alongside French manufacturers to special collaborations with KITH, GLCO has applied its west coast influences with every new drop. Stepping outside its comfort zone, the rising eyewear brand is diversifying its lineup thanks to a new joint effort alongside fellow Californian brand Modernica.
Teaming up for a Garrett Leight and Modernica chair, the two companies bring a high-end California style to furniture with their second collaborative effort and GLCO’s very first furniture piece. Made up of fiberglass, the chair features a black powder-coated metal base and palm print designs. The graphic motifs utilized here were also employed during the creation of the pairing’s first joint offering: these custom Warren sunglasses outfitted with green lenses.
Limited to only 40 models, the Garrett Leight x Modernica chair is available for purchase now at the former brand’s official website for $450 USD. Previously, Modernica produced a series of exclusive rockers for the STUSSY Livin’ GENERAL STORE.
