Gorillaz Team up With C.P. Company on New Merch Capsule
The animated band and the Italian sportswear brand link up for a second time.
With rumors of more new music on the way, Gorillaz teamed up with iconic Italian outerwear brand C.P. Company for an exclusive merch capsule. This drop follows their June collaboration, when the two worked together to produce a set of full-length hooded cloaks that were worn at the Demon Dayz festival.
The new capsule features a flight hat and a tour jacket, both of which where designed in collaboration between C.P. Company, Gorillaz co-founders Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett, and Remi Kabaka, creative director of Gorillaz’s G Foot label. The jacket is piece-dyed and made from a fabric designed exclusively for the brand. It features a Gorillaz “Z” logo within a red star on the breast patch and back. The jacket is then finished with illustrations of Gorillaz member Noodle by Jamie Hewlett. The flight hat also features the “Z” logo, as well as C.P. Company’s classic goggles, while the design is a reference to an archive military design.
The collection is set to release on November 28, and will be available from C.P. Company’s flagships and online store. For more merch, take a look at Daft Punk’s festive capsule.
