EVISEN Teases Its Full-Length Skate Video
A trippy blend of Western and Japanese influences.
In recent months, Evisen has been focusing on building up its apparel offerings; they went beyond the standard neutral look for a vibrant, graphic-heavy Fall/Winter 2017 line and produced some decks adorned with very animated, colorful and unique designs. Now, the Japanese brand is putting the focus back on the art and athletics of skating with the teaser for its new full-length skate visual.
Combing Western and Japanese aesthetics, the new trailer for the Evisen skate video shows off the company’s talented riders through a tripped-out, frenzied lens. The visual production was directed by Katsumi Minami, co-produced by Shinpei Ueno and given extra video production aid by Tightbooth; Ueno and Minami also edited the video, while Yoji Mizusawa and Colin Read provided some of the additional camera work. Kazuhiro Hamaguchi (or Foodeater) served as the project’s art director, while it’s psychedelically-tinged style was spearheaded by the graphics of Tomoyuki Kujirai and the sonic work of sound director Yo.An; 5Lack provided the soundtrack.
