Skater Daniel Lutheran Releases Vans Sneakers in His Signature Colorway
An ode to his home state of New Mexico.

Vans and global skate team rider Daniel Lutheran collaborate to release a custom Old Skool Pro colorway. Drawing inspirations from Lu’s contagious spirit and energetic skateboarding style, the silhouette features an embroidered handwritten signature by the Albuquerque-based skater on the tongue and an ode to his home state of New Mexico with the Zia symbol stitched onto the heel.
UltraCush HD sockliners, Vans’ original waffle outsole gum rubber compound, and Duracap-reinforced uppers for support can be found on this modern day take of the Pro Classic. “Taking a blank Vans Pro Classic and creating something unique was an incredible opportunity and very inspiring,” says Lutheran. “I see this shoe as an outward representation of the layers of myself and all the things I’m passionate about – my homeland, art and of course, skateboarding.”
Pick up Dan Lu’s Old Skool Pro’s alongside a personalized Style 112 Mid Pro from Van stores and online for $70 and $75 USD, respectively.
