J.K. Simmons Meets His Doppelgänger in New Series Trailer for 'Counterpart'
There’s only one person to trust.
Starz has released the first trailer for its upcoming drama series Counterpart, centered around J.K. Simmons as Howard, a lowly worker at the bureaucratic machinery of a Berlin-based United Nations spy agency.
Howard soon discovers his agency is protecting an entrance to a parallel dimension, which sets his story on a trajectory to a shadow world of intrigue and danger that leads him to only trust his near-identical counterpart from the parallel world. Counterpart, created by Justin Marks, was ordered straight-to-series for two seasons by Starz back in the spring of 2015, and is directed and EP’d by Morten Tyldum (The Imitation Game.)
