McIntosh Introduces the MA252 Integrated Amplifier
Its first hybrid integrated amplifier.
The McIntosh MA252 Integrated Amplifier is the company’s first hybrid integrated amp, combining vacuum tubes with a solid design. The two 12AX7a and 12AT7 vacuum tubes are housed in protective cages, with the solid-state output stage producing up to 160 Watts per channel.
The amp is McIntosh’s first valve product to incorporate the brand’s patented Power Guard technology, designed to monitor and adjust output and input signals in real time to prevent distortion. The all-analog design also includes bass and treble controls and a full-range subwoofer output. The MA252 costs £4,500 GBP (approximately $5,931 USD) and can be pre-ordered now, with UK shipping slated for December. Contact your local dealer for more info.
