UNRTD and ASICS Drop New Gel-Diablo Model to Inaugurate 'Waves' Program
A revised take on the minimal Japanese runner.
LA-based culture curators UNRTD have linked up with ASICS TIGER on a reworking of the Gel-Diablo to celebrate its WAVES initiative. Japanese producer starRo models and endorses the sneaker, in line with his inaugural performance at the ASICS House Paris.
UNRTD and ASICS’s WAVES Enterprise aims to introduce France to up-and-coming Japanese artists. starRo is the first representative of the undertaking and commemorates the occasion with a series of original Gel-Diablo models. The runner, first released in 1995, offers several tonal colorways boasting tonal beige, white, and black motifs with matching laces. The sneakers retail for €120 EUR (approximately $140 USD) and are available now.
starRo’s takeover of the ASICS House Paris basement will be livestreamed on UNRTD’s official Facebook page on October 12. Let us know what you think of the colorways and check out the Patta x ASICS collab in this week’s sneaker release roundup.
