Nike's Air VaporMax Gets a Winterized, Mid-Top Makeover
The slim silhouette bulks up.
It’s been a heavy week of releases for Nike‘s Air VaporMax, and after having officially unveiled a laceless strap rendition, Nike now debuts a mid-top, winterized interpretation. This edition strikes a more outdoors chord with a bulked up upper featuring a reinforced lacing system, anchored straps that wrap around the midfoot, no-tie, bungee cord laces and a bolstered heel counter for added protection and support.
The signature VaporMax sole unit keeps its transparent, bubble-like look with added outsole traction and an additional midsole/mudguard layer. The model’s debut colorway stays classic in an predominantly black color scheme with hits of orange at the heel counter outline, the mini Swoosh logos and multicolor weave laces, while a speckled grey midsole layer infuses additional contrast to the design.
Nike still hasn’t announced the official release date and price point of this mid-top Air VaporMax design, so keep checking back and let us know if you’re a fan of the silhouette. For more winterized footwear designs, take a closer look at The North Face x Vans Fall 2017 collection.
