It has been quite the weekend for Lupe Fiasco thus far. After sharing a long series of Tweets about his quest to becoming the greatest lyricist of all time, the artist shared two brand new tracks with his fans. The first track, titled “Black Power L Word” features Lupe’s smooth delivery over a beat Madlib originally created for Dudley Perkins’ track “Falling.” This is accompanied by the visuals of Black Panther marches from the 1950s and 1960s.
The second track is titled “KJazz,” which serves as a tribute to the city of Los Angeles. This time around, Lupe brings his same delivery and flow over a jazz-influenced beat as he raps about his favorite parts of the city. Lupe also used both songs to promote his upcoming tour, which will hit a variety of different locations across the United States and Australia from November 3 to January 19.
Take a listen to both tracks below.
