As an ode to the most substantial comeback in the NFL‘s Super Bowl history, Nike has cooked up a special Air Force 1 Low to commemorate the New England Patriots. The Swoosh recently made use of two game-used footballs from Super Bowl 51 to create its entire upper. In addition, the same laces found in the footballs are used as laces within the Air Force 1 for added detailing while a Patriots logo can be found on the heel and the Super Bowl 51 logo on the toebox.
Nike’s Air Force 1 Low “SB51 Comeback” will be on display within The Hall at Patriot Place between October 20-21. It will be followed by a display in Gillette Stadium on October 22 for the first Falcons vs. Patriots rematch since the historic Super Bowl 51 matchup. The special sneakers will be auctioned off by the New England Patriots at a later date with all proceeds going towards the Boys & Girls Club in Boston.
