Big Boi's 'In the South' Featuring Gucci Mane & Pimp C Gets Animated Visuals

Big Boi’s latest album Boomiverse is still churning out material with the release of a new “In The South” video. The track, featuring Gucci Mane and a posthumous Pimp C is now accompanied by a vibrant video given the animation treatment.

Big Boi is currently working on a new cartoon called Hotlanta Waxxx. “[This video] is not a part of the Hotlanta Waxx series but it comes from that realm,” he told Yahoo. “Actually, I got the idea from when I was doing the teasers for the songs for Boomiverse. Cory Mo, the producer for the song, has an animation team and he sent me a clip of some of the guys’ work and we got on the phone and just came up with this funkadelic psychedelic video concept for ‘In The South.’” Check out cartoon Gucci, Big Boi and Pimp C above and share your thoughts below.
