The live-action adaptation of Ghost in the Shell is right around the corner, but before Scarlett Johansson hits the big screen as the Major, Funimation Films is giving fans and newcomers alike a chance to brush up on Mamoru Oshii’s 1995 anime classic by bringing it to theaters across America. The two-day event will see the pioneering cyberpunk masterpiece hit 110 movie theaters across the U.S. on February 7 and February 8, nearly two months ahead of director Rupert Sanders’s live-action take on the 20-plus-year-old anime (itself an adaptation of Masamune Shirow’s manga of the same name). Best of all, though? Fans won’t even have to choose between subs and dubs: the subtitled version with the original Japanese language track will be shown on February 7 while the English dub will be screened the following day.

For a full list of participating theaters, head on over to Funimation’s website and, in the meantime, check out Sanders’s take on the Major’s iconic shelling sequence ahead of the release.

Starring Scarlett Johansson, Pilou Asbæk, Takeshi Kitano, Juliette Binoche, and Michael Pitt, Ghost in the Shell hits theaters in 2D, 3D, and IMAX 3D on March 31.
