11 by Boris Bidjan Saberi's 2017 Fall/Winter Collection "Indicasativa" Is About Opposites
The German-Persian designer’s latest offering.
Impishly titled “Indicasativa,” the latest collection from 11 by Boris Bidjan Saberi draws inspiration from the contrast of opposing elements. Classic art is fused with abstract art, football flags with Renaissance draperies and delicate embroideries with marijuana flowers. The predominantly black Fall/Winter 2017 collection is set off by white pieces and light gray denim finishes, while contrasting fabrics such as hairy fleece and Japanese denim reinforce the overall theme of balance. An intense variety of black shades is achieved by modifying fabric textures through innovative dyeing processes and washes, whereas a long-term collaboration with Ortlieb ensures high-quality waterproof textiles and detailing. This season also features a collaboration between 11BYBBS and Salomon for an exclusive three-piece footwear range consisting of a military boot, low-top sneaker and mid-top sneaker. And, finally, to round out the collection, a headwear collection made in collaboration with New Era offers new headwear styles to top the brand’s silhouettes.
