For Spring/Summer 2017, Los Angeles-based streetwear label BRANDBLACK is toning down its usual hardened and masculine sportswear slant and opting instead for softer palettes and looser silhouettes. This season’s collection is titled “HINTERLAND,” referring to the uncharted areas beyond a coastal district, which inspires the capsule’s “distinctly human quality to it, which in and of itself is an uncharted area in the world of performance brands.” The 20-piece collection focuses on elevated lifestyle pieces that balance form and function, featuring water and wind resistant jackets, lightweight shells, and tops and bottoms textured with ultra soft moisture wicking meshes. Pants and jackets are embellished with breathable panels, reflective details, TPU dipped laces and micro zippers for a subtle twist on classic ensembles. The BRANDBLACK Spring/Summer 2017 collection “HINTERLAND” will be available at select retailers worldwide and online in mid-February.
