Nike Brings Back the OG "Dark Obsidian" Colorway of the Air Max 1
Complete with their usual red, white and grey accents.
UPDATE: The retailer has since sold out of these, which were an unannounced restock. Keep an eye out for more possible restocks.
After bringing the kicks back in 2013, Nike has resurrected the original “Dark Obsidian” colorway of the beloved Air Max 1 for a 2016 retro drop. Here, the kicks mimic the look of the aforementioned release from three years ago, but opt for a shorter grain suede this time around to pair with the OG mesh on the upper. As per usual, white hits everything from the lining and mesh to the air-cushioned midsole and rubber outsole while red accents handle the embroidered text branding on the tongue and heel, as well as the top eyelets and the toe portion of the outsole.
Finished with a dash of grey, the Air Max 1 OG “Dark Obsidian” is available now from Nike Sportswear stockists like Sneaker Politics.
