A Whimsical 360-Video Tour of the Shinola Headquarters With Luke Wilson
Trolling his way through various rooms in the immense Detroit factory.
Shinola is a stalwart when it comes to producing high-end watches, bikes and leather accessories. Although owned by Texas investment group Bedrock Bands, the acclaimed lifestyle brand calls Detroit, Michigan home. The company recently premiered a 360 virtual reality video that features two of the famous Wilson brothers: Luke and Andrew Wilson. Not only did they co-direct the four-minute clip, but for the most part, Luke—with a slight appearance from Andrew—pesters a slew of employees meticulously working in various rooms at the flagship factory.
“We thought the VR would be cool for the Shinola factory and store because it’s something different,” Luke Wilson said in a statement. “VR, I think, gets associated with action or space or aerial shots of grand vistas—so to show the factory and the people seemed like a different take on it.”
