This Lucky High School Teacher Got the Air Jordan Surprise of a Lifetime
And it’s all thanks to one awesome student.

A young student by the name of Hector Montez of Coronado High School in Lubbock, Texas recently gave his teacher/football coach the biggest surprise. Defensive coordinator coach Thomas Walser has always wanted a pair of the Air Jordan 12 “Taxi” since he was 12 years old and thanks to Montez, his dream of owning the pair finally came true. In a recent post on Twitter, the student shared a video depicting the full surprise along with the caption “it’s good to give back to the man who’s always been by my side.”
Montez approached Walser with the kicks and said, “These are for you … for always keeping it real with me and always keeping an eye on me. You told me sophomore year that it’s your favorite shoe.” The heartwarming gesture was followed with a loud yell and an ecstatic expression from Walser. “I’ve wanted these since I was in sixth grade,” Walser said.
