Raf Simons & Fred Perry Design a New Tennis-Infused Line for 2016 Fall/Winter
Another outstanding capsule from the two entities.

Raf Simons and Fred Perry‘s perennial relationship has evolved with debonair season after season, with each entities bringing their own flavors into seasonal capsules that continue to merge the best of both worlds. The former, whose career has brought him from Belgium to the world beyond, tastefully introduces his extensive fashion background into the tennis-infused world of the latter’s that honors the Laurel Wreath by still retaining its British subculture influences.
“When UK style and music had a strong influence in Belgium, I became aware of the label through all the subcultures that adopted the Fred Perry shirt. I only realized the tennis connection at a later age” remarked the designer; “I think the Fred Perry shirt’s success comes from the fact that it is a very basic casual garment that has found its way into all layers of society, music and sport.” After dropping a colorful range for the current 2016 spring/summer season, the partnership now introduces a healthy range of sportswear-styled garments and polo shirts emboldened by geometric motifs and clean lines. The collection is refreshing and new, while still preserving its original design DNA, and it’s brought to life with an exceptional autumn color palette of deep navy blues and rich burgundy reds.
