Opera Software's Office Space Is a Modern Interior Design Masterpiece
Complete with impressive accents, conference rooms and gathering areas.
Opera Software in Wroclaw, Poland has one of the most awe-inspiring office spaces ever built. It was designed and executed by architecture firm mode:lina with the purpose of seamlessly integrating the conference rooms and meeting spaces in a comprehensive open floor plan. Wroclaw is the largest city in Western Poland and is also known as the “City of One Hundred Bridges.” To incorporate that theme, arched curves and beams were used to decorate the entrance of each room. Other references borrow from Wroclaw’s market hall and central railway station, so we see that in the honeycomb-patterned floor tiles and overhanging canopies.
Furthermore, each room is decorated differently. There’s a meeting office accented with old keyboards on the wall, a space that has a table built with floppy disks, and another room cleverly designed with binary code all over. What’s also impressive are the gathering and meeting areas such as the kitchen and dining area. There’s even a neat space for a daycare if employees ever want to bring their kids into work.
