La La Land is a musical film that tells the story of two Hollywood hopefuls: Mia (played by Emma Stone) is an aspiring actress who serves coffee as a day-job; Sebastian (Ryan Gosling) is a jazz pianist who makes a meager living playing in dingy dive bars. The two meet and fall in love, but just as both begin to find success in Hollywood, fame and infamy inevitably put a strain on the bounds and foundation of their relationship.

The film’s first trailer pays homage to Hollywood’s golden age and John Legend even makes a brief cameo. Check it out above and look for the film to hit theaters December 2 following an August 31 premiere at the Venice Film Festival.
