'The Warriors' TV Series Will Happen Thanks to the Russo Brothers
The Hulu series will boast “its own unique brand of grit, pulp, sex, and violence.”

Joe and Anthony Russo took the Marvel Cinematic Universe by storm in having directed the last two Captain America films, as well as the highly anticipated movie, Avengers: Infinity War. Now, the brothers are returning to television to transform Walter Hill’s 1979 cult classic (an adaptation of Sol Yurick’s 1965 novel of the same name) into an hour-long dramatic series. According to Deadline, the director-duo joined forces with Paramount’s TV department to create the adaptation for Hulu. Collectively, the series will showcase a bevy of varied gangs like the original while “adding its own unique brand of grit, pulp, sex, and violence.”
There is no word yet on the premiere date or the cast, but the brothers will apparently work with writer/producer Frank Baldwin on the series.
