New Balance and New York Brand Lease on Life Explore the Evolution of Street Fashion
The two share a passion for updating classic designs for the contemporary consumer.
Sharing a passion for modernizing classic designs, New Balance taps the blossoming New York-based fashion label Lease on Life to introduce the reengineered New Balance MRT580. Lease on Life Society, whose designers were featured in NB Lifestyle’s global marketing campaign, is a creative brand founded in 2011 by father-son duo Nigel and Everard Best with the aim of bringing unexpected coloring, imaginative tailoring and premium fabrics to the world of street fashion. Earlier this year, the clothier brought on board Creative Director Vell Beck to elevate its offerings into the realm of high-street. Aligning with the young brand’s evolutionary vision on fashion, New Balance’s updated 580 silhouette puts a contemporary spin on the classic trail runner with a refined one-piece upper and the comfortable REVlite sole unit.
While we await the New Balance MRT580 Reengineered’s August 1 release date, be sure to head over to Lease on Life’s website to see what it’s currently cooking up for the coming seasons. You can also explore New Balance’s creative partnerships and #NBNumbers campaign here.
