XIMONLEE 2017 Spring/Summer "HARD" Collection
The designer was inspired by how the body can be covered and concealed.
XIMONLEE is the latest designer to be presented by GQ China at LC:M. The Chinese designer often speaks of each collection as a “study,” and this season he wanted to explore the ways in how bodies can be covered and concealed. To do so, Lee played with the words “oversized” and “exposed,” and created a collection that both stayed true to his experimental nature and the theme of the show. He used latex, tarpaulin and silicone to achieve boxy silhouettes and crunchy layers, while denim was acid-washed and showcased Lee’s intricate tailoring skills.
