With his professional basketball career coming to a close this year and a thriving signature Nike shoe line under his belt, Kobe Bryant is triumphantly riding off into the sunset, having successfully wrapped up a legendary era for the new generation of NBA players to look up to. And that’s exactly what the latest Kobe 11 sneaker aims to capture in its latest model, officially dubbed “Sunset.” Taking inspiration from Los Angeles’s fiery sunsets, the model’s Total Crimson/Hyper Violet/University Gold/Black colorway brings warm hues across the shoe’s mesh upper that features a sunny yellow to dark purple gradient from the toes to the heel that may be a nod to the Los Angeles Lakers’ team colors. A dark, smoky translucent sole supports underneath while a reflective Swoosh and Kobe sheath logo on the tongue finish off the shoe’s look.

Watch for the Nike Kobe 11 “Sunset” to release June 18 at 8 a.m. BST on Nike’s online store. Remember how Kobe fell in love with his life’s passion by reading his open letter to basketball that came out last year.
