With the 999 celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, New Balance is paying homage to the classic model with two new renditions for Fall/Winter 2016 dubbed the “Re-Engineered.” Layered fish scale-esque mesh uppers are the highlight here, which come offered in two original 1996 colorways of dark gray tones or a bright aqua blue hue, while suede accents detail the heel tab. Both models sit atop a cushioned REVLITE sole.

You’ll find these 999 Re-Engineered models online as well as at select NB retailers when they release July 1.
