IKEA Channels "Young Urban Life" for Experimental 2017 PS Collection
A 3D-knitted side chair, a multifunctional throw pillow and more.
IKEA recently surfaced its 2017 PS Collection that focuses on experimental products meant to add pizzazz to rather prosaic items that consumers encounter at any one of its maze-like retail stores. The furniture overlord’s new limited series of home goods center around a “Young Urban Life” theme—sousing out on an innovative line-up that features a 3D-knitted side chair, a multifunctional throw pillow that can be worn as a jacket and a sofa constructed out of individual cushions. IKEA also worked closely with one of its foundries to efficiently utilize material from declined products to create new ones like the sleek series of vases depicted in the slide above.
As a whole, IKEA utilized cutting edge fabrication methods to manufacture products for its 2017 PS Collection. The series is set to launch in February 2017. Visit IKEA’s official website to find out more.
