Fun fact: Bay Area singer-songwriter and talented multi-instrumentalist Hanni El Khatib used to work as a creative director at HUF before he kickstarted his musical career. That connection explains why HUF creator Keith Hufnagel gave El Khatib access to previously unseen sponsor-me footage for his new skate video, “Mangos and Rice.” The visuals are soundtracked by a previously-unreleased El Khatib track of the same name. The clip also features cameos from ex-Chocolate rider Gino Ianucci, GREATS co-founder Jon Buscemi and the late, great, gone-too-soon skater, Keenan Milton. The visuals are all shot on analog and showcases some radical skater style from back in the day; just peep the puffy hi-tops and mid-calf sock combo, for one.
